| A Blast from the Past: The 60's Social By Sarah Coston and Ryan Horton Go-go boots. Lava lamps. Tie-dye. Afros. Had we found ourselves in an Austin Powers movie? Not hardly. This was the Logic and Rhetoric School 60’s Dance, hosted by ECCS 7th graders. On the night of September 29th, 2007 we were all on our way to the dance. No one knew what to expect, and as soon as we all walked into the gym we went back in time. Entering through the beads and hearing the groovy music play, everyone immediately started doing the monkey, swim, and the sprinkler. However no one knew how to do anything else, that was immediately solved when Mrs. Justice and Mrs. Beniot jumped in and showed us all how it was done. For three hours everyone was on their feet dancing, but everything good has to have an end. The music stopped and the cleaning began. Everybody was ready for the next dance.Copyright © 2008 Evangel Classical Christian School |
