A Brief History of ECCS

In 2000, God planted a seed in the hearts and minds of a handful of families—a vision for what their children’s education could be. By His grace, their dreams became a reality, and that vision was realized. Evangel Classical Christian School began educating and nurturing 53 students that first year.

In the spring of 2008, teachers, staff, and community leaders came together and broke ground for the new classroom and library addition. In October of 2008, the addition was complete, and another fruit of that seed first planted in 2000 was realized. The year 2010 gave us our first graduating class and our accreditation was approved by the Association of Classical Christian Schools. Since then, we have graduated over 100 students who together have been offered over twenty million dollars in scholarships and who hold a cumulative ACT average of 28.

Our goal has remained the same during these years: “We aim to teach children to think clearly and listen carefully with discernment and understanding; to reason persuasively and articulate precisely; to evaluate their entire range of experience in the light of the Scriptures; and to do so with eagerness and joyful submission to God.”

Evangel Classical Christian School is unapologetically Christian and distinctively classical. Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated each day in the lives of the teachers, administrators, and support staff who devote themselves to the education of our growing student body.
