ECCS At a GlanceVISION: To be a classical and Christian school, drawing our inspiration from Logos School in Moscow, Idaho, and other similar classical and Christian schools around the United States.
GRADE LEVELS: We offer K-5 through 11th grades for the 2008-2009 school year. We will offer K-5 through 12th grades for the 2009-2010 school year and will graduate our first class in the spring of 2010.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: Evangel Classical Christian School is a ministry of Evangel Church P.C.A. It is governed directly by a seven-member board, all seven of whom are appointed by the session of Evangel Church P.C.A. The board's authority is delegated to it by the session of Evangel Church P.C.A., and the session retains the right to dissolve the board upon a two-thirds vote and then assert its authority over the school directly. The board oversees a head of school (principal) who will administer the school policies on premises.
CURRICULUM: The curriculum is selected by the Board, but draws its primary inspiration from the Logos Classical School curriculum.
Bible: Timeline approach utilizing Veritas Press Bible cards, which cover biblical events from Genesis through Revelation.
Language Arts: Grammar - The Shurley Method, Excellence in Writing
Spelling - Riggs
Reading - Riggs and classic children's literature, The Great Books; Handwriting - A Reason for Handwriting
Math: Saxon Math
History: Timeline approach utilizing Lessons Learned & Veritas Press history program and primary documents; Units/time periods include:

Latin: Latin instruction begins in 3rd grade and continues through 10th utilizing the texts Jenney's Latin, Schola Latina and other resources.
FINANCES: ECCS is self-supporting by utilizing a competitive tuition and receiving donations from supportive benefactors.
