Mrs. DeAnne Benedict
Third Grade Teacher

Mrs. DeAnne Benedict joined the ECCS faculty in 2005 as third grade teacher.  Mrs. Benedict holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Auburn University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Columbia International University.  She has five years teaching experience, and she and her husband Carl have three children--Kara, Colson, and Chloe, all of whom attend ECCS.  They attend Southcrest Baptist Church, where Mr. Benedict serves as Associate Pastor.  Mrs. Benedict's hobbies include reading, walking, spending time with her family, and studying the Bible.  Her gentle spirit and generous heart engenders both the love and respect of her students and their parents.  Her favorite scripture is I Corinthians 4:1-2, "So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and those entrusted with the secret things of God.  Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful."

"Teaching at ECCS has truly been a gift from God.  In 2005, God led me to apply for a teaching position here, and opened the door for me to teach third grade.  ECCS has been a tremendous blessing for my entire family.  We would not choose another school setting for our three children.  The opportunity to teach in a school that honors and glorifies God in everything brings great joy and fulfillment as I use the gifts God has given me to teach and to minister to young children for His kingdom.  It is a high calling and honor to be given this gift, and I do not take it lightly.  I thank God every day for the time I have with the students, for the families who entrust their children to my care, and for the teachers of my children who serve God faithfully at ECCS."
