Mr. Mark Gainey
New Testament, Systematic Theology, P.E., Keyboarding, Web Design Teacher

Development Coordinator, I.T. Coordinator

Mr. Mark Gainey joined our faculty in 2006. He holds  Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Troy University and a Masters of Theological Studies from Beason Divinity School at Samford University. He also serves as the pastor of Perimeter Pointe Church. He and his wife Tasha have three daughters, Mary Beth, and Adi, who attend ECCS, and Anna, who was born in January, 2008.  Mr. Gainey wears many hats at ECCS including teacher,  Developement Coordinator, IT Coordinator, and Computer Lab Manager.  When wearing his Development Coordinator hat, Mr. Gainey directs our marketing and fundraising efforts.  He is known for his fervent devotion to his alma mater, Troy University, and its football program.  His favorite scripture is 2 Timothy 2:2, "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."

"I truly love this place! I believe that what we are doing is absolutely changing our culture for Christ! With every ounce and fiber of my being, I am committed to training and teaching students and parents to operate from a Biblical Worldview because that is the foundation of transforming our world.

My position here at Evangel isn’t just an occupation or a job. It truly is a ministry and a life-calling. I have found the same fulfillment here as a teacher that I receive from being a Pastor. I count it as a privilege that God directed me to extend my ministry in this area at ECCS.

I believe that being one of only two male teachers at ECCS is an important role as well. Whether it is in Bible, Computers, or P.E., the students need a male influence so they can learn to relate to both men and women. Being a Pastor makes a difference as well in the spiritual role that I play—wherever I am!

I love teaching and working here at ECCS and I love developing the relationships with each student and parent!"
